Laurier provides notification of such temporary building/facility service disruptions on the Campus Status page, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Laurier’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment. Laurier recognizes the importance of building an accessible campus, which includes specific features that are more widely used by persons with disabilities. If you become aware of any disruptions to an accessible feature at Laurier (for example: an elevator or automatic door is not operational, there is ice on a ramp, a handrail is loose, etc.), please contact Physical Resources immediately at 519.884.0710 x6280.
If you have any questions or concerns about the temporary disruption or accessibility at one of Laurier’s campuses, please contact the Equity and Accessibility team in Human Resources directly at accessibility@ บาคาร่า เทคนิค www.freebloggersworld.com or at 519.884.0710 x4469.
Laurier offers designated accessible parking spots in most of its lots:
Safety, Health, Environment and Risk Management (SHERM) works together with management, employees, students, and the Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion to provide individualized emergency response plans and accessible formats of emergency and fire safety procedures. Specific building fire evacuation plans will have detailed instructions for persons who are unable to evacuate, which may include persons with disabilities. SHERM also supports the use of strobe lights attached to the fire alarm system. If you require this technology, or if you would like to inquire about the development of an individualized emergency response plan, please contact the Equity and Accessibility team in Human Resources directly at accessibility@ บาคาร่า เทคนิค www.freebloggersworld.com or at 519.884.0710 x4469.
On Oct. 27, 2014 Laurier launched a new website that meets the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) WCAG 2.0 Level A guidelines for accessibility. User testing with prospective students was also conducted to ensure the usability of the site.
Discover how you can adjust your browser or system to meet your accessibility needs by visiting the accessibility sites for the following programs:
The website looks and works best when viewed in Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer 9 or higher. Users who view the site in other web browsers may experience display issues.
As we work to resolve any issues that do not meet AODA WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines:
We are dedicated to making Laurier’s website accessible for all users, and welcome feedback regarding the accessibility of the site. Email webservices@ บาคาร่า เทคนิค www.freebloggersworld.com to report any difficulties you are having viewing or accessing features of the site.
Laurier, in partnership with the Government of Ontario, produced a handbook as a guide for large public-sector organizations (with 50 employees or more) to help them take the necessary steps to make their websites accessible. Download the Enabling Access Through Web Renewal handbook.
